I have been using Fuji X-System cameras and lenses for a number of years. I was hoping that the XP140 would translate some of the X vibe into a 'rugged' camera that I could take with me on my diving vacation. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations and I wouldn't recommend this camera to anyone who cares about image quality. The image quality is hardly acceptable in good light in the wide angle, but quickly decreases when zooming in. Forget indoor use. , even with flash. The dynamic range is very limited and highlights easily disappear. When fine tuned, the JPEG compression is very noticeable. Also, the autofocus missed about a third of the frames, even when set to specific points. It's really hard to believe this is a 2019 16MP camera - the image quality is worse than what I had with a 3MP camera 18 years ago. It's a shame you can't shoot in RAW format, as images from this camera require lengthy post-processing to look even halfway decent. Advantages? It's compact and water-resistant, which is better than nothing; I have several keepers in the water and on land and will be using this camera again next year on a trip to the Caribbean. But I don't like it and I don't recommend it.
