Review on Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3: 15.6 Inch AMD Ryzen Gaming Laptop with RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6 by Siu Siu ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the product very much, fully consistent with my expectations.

I must say right away that I will evaluate based on the price category. This is the initial segment of gaming laptops, so the criteria are lower here. This is a good Lenovo model, but noticeably weaker and cheaper than the Lenovo Legion, which is really more attractive in every way. I've been using it for about a month, I'm happy with everything. The only thing is that in the lower left corner of the screen there were decent lights, but I'm not embarrassed by the word at all) I work with the office, Photoshop, illustrator, everything flies. In games like Detroit: Become Human and Metro: Exodus, everything is also playable. In the first at high fps varies from 30 to 60, in the second at ultras it averages 40-45, in some places it holds 60, in some places it sags. In general, if you are a casual and undemanding gamer who needs an intermediate option between a work laptop and a plug for playing games in your spare time, then this is a great and productive option. Unless, of course, you are ready to give 100k+ for something very close to a gaming PC. Then it is better to look at higher level laptops)

Pros
  • The main advantage here is one: the ratio of price / hardware / build quality. More specifically, then: - Video card RTX 3050 at 75 W. It gives a very good FPS in games, on average it heats up no higher than 85 degrees. In other laptops in this segment, you can often find a stripped-down 3050, which is 10-25% weaker. - AMD Ryzen 5600H processor. This killer has to be limited in frequencies to 3.3 MHz, otherwise it heats up, but this does not affect performance in games at all, the FPS does not change, and you can drop 10-15 degrees. - Cooling. The declared critical temperatures for the processor and video card are 105 degrees, the fan is not particularly noisy, and when playing games for several hours, the temperatures have not yet risen above 85 degrees. - Possibility of upgrade. There is a slot for a second RAM stick and you can deliver a second SSD.
Cons
  • - Screen - Mark Corps How much I look at the budget versions of Lenovo laptops, for productive hardware they always save on the screen and case. I would not say that this is bad if the goal is to work with office programs and play games in your free time, but the screen is unlikely to be suitable for designers. The color rendering here is really bad.
