Judging by the title, it seems that the built-in battery is already dead. It lights up with a red charging indicator when exposed to sunlight or when starting up, but no longer charges the internal battery. Therefore, it cannot charge the mobile phone unless you rotate the handle. In an emergency, it still works. But it has lost most of its functionality. If I could give 2.5 stars I would. It's better than 2 stars so I'm getting 3. I'm using this as a backup and will get a better one. The sound of the radio is tolerable - once again, in an emergency, which is what it's intended for, it would work. No problem getting NOAA.
