Works. I didn't think this would happen when I opened the box as it looked too narrow for a modern MTB frame, but the width is adjustable. I watched the shotgun seat installation video and as far as I can tell they are exactly the same. One problem is that the metal side bars bend when you tighten them, but the seat moves when you don't. I tried to find a balance but in the end I'm not sure if it will stand up to off-road riding. Also, all the parts under the seat that allow for angle adjustment were painted together, so I had to take them apart. It was a pain to assemble. The leg straps are held in place by a small plastic peg which fell out immediately. I can either glue the connector on or just not use the straps. In any case, they are too big for my 1.5 years. Despite the issues, I would definitely buy again. I'm glad I didn't pay $150 for the same thing elsewhere.
