Not universal. The tip with the gold base is too short and cannot be adjusted in length.
I needed to replace a bent antenna on an old Panasonic AM/FM radio. This one initially looked like it would do the job, especially since it was versatile. However, the gold foot has only one notch and is not adjustable. The gold base of this replacement antenna was too short to fit in the existing slot. As I unscrewed and pulled out the old one, I noticed that its gold base was longer and had many holes along the shaft, allowing it to be inserted in grooves of different depths. Unfortunately, its base could not be moved to a new antenna. I had to go back.
