The item was defective. I've only had the chargers for a week and one of them broke in my iPad. I had to poke and dig it into pieces and then force it out with a small pair of scissors. I'm so glad I was able to do this at home. I was about to ship my iPad to Apple but figured the cost would be almost $300 so I either paid the amount or bought a new iPad. That's the only reason I was fearless with a shard stuck in it, I thought I'd lose it all or gain a lot. The outside of the charging port is scratched and destroyed, but I saved a lot of money. The stress, caused by this charger was beyond what I needed. My husband was annoyed that he bought cheap chargers and annoyed that he bought an iPad. I assembled two more chargers and immediately swapped them out. This product is cheap and useless. I'm just glad it was cheap enough to take apart and haul away.
