I bought this unit to have a compact player for my office. Overall I am very happy with my purchase given the value for money. Buyers should only be aware that the sound quality of the built-in speakers is not up to date. PROS: Good value for money, modern design, compact, easy to set up and use, built-in FM radio works well (I get Boston stations with it). no problems in New Hampshire) Negatives: sound quality, a small problem with the hitch-hike function. When I unboxed it, I was struck by the size and style of the device. In addition to removing some packaging materials, the installation required finding a place to install the player and plug it into the mains. Its footprint is actually smaller than a 12" record case, and the well-designed dust cover has strategically placed cutouts so you can lower it when playing records. Most players in this price range don't have FM radio, but this one does. It works great, which is good if you want to listen to a local professional sports game or any other program that isn't available on the radio station's online stream. As mentioned, don't expect great sound quality for $43 - a good Bluetooth speaker can cost more. The sound from this unit is acceptably loud, but tinny with little bass, and there's no way to adjust the mix of bass and treble on the unit - not even a tone control. To improve the sound quality, the device can be easily connected to headphones, speakers or amplifiers via the 3.5mm headphone jack or RCA output. Please note that this player has a bluetooth receiver but NOT a bluetooth transmitter. In other words, you can use the player as a Bluetooth speaker to play content from your phone or other external Bluetooth source, but you CANNOT connect a Bluetooth speaker to the player for listening - only wired connections are available for external speakers Disposal. . For basic background playback, some might find the sound quality acceptable, but if you're actively listening to recordings rather than playing in the background, I'd recommend using an external speaker for better sound quality. I immediately noticed that on some records, especially the 45s, the auto-stop function stops too early. In fact, it is also written about this in the instruction. You can disable auto stop to avoid this problem, but then the record will keep spinning in its groove until you turn it off. This only happened on two of the 45" records I've played and on none of the more than ten 12" records I've tested. Not a big deal, but if you have a large collection of 45s, this is something to consider. Would definitely recommend this unit - excellent value for money and the pleasure of being able to play vinyl and local radio stations in my office. The sound quality is what you'd expect from a device in this price range, and I doubt many audiophiles would choose a $43 device with built-in speakers as the main player and speaker system.
