I'm a professional with 25 years of experience and let's be honest the main reason people buy a camera cage is the ability to bolt a bunch of peripherals onto it to impress a client. This Smallrig camera cage is a functional piece of kit that stays on the camera when it is out of the customer's line of sight. (Really) extremely light and well constructed, its main advantage lies in the distribution of the weight of the camera and lens between the camera and the lens adapter (when using the Sigma mount lens adapter MC 21). The cage's wide base and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads allow for the attachment of professional baseplates for use with professional tripods. I can mount a 70X200 2.8 IS on the front of my S1 and also balance it without using a lens ring. Of any frame on any camera I've shot with, this is the most intuitive design I've come across.
