After using my Frontman guitars it took me a while to get used to the guitar. Well made and much more realistic than Guitar Hero guitars. As with any PS3 guitar or anything third-party, you must use the USB port to use the guitar as it requires a dongle to connect (since PS3s support bluetooth while guitars don't). I can't say that I always use the bottom keys for soloing, because honestly it's not worth keeping your fingers very tight together and if you have big hands it's actually rather tedious. One really negative thing I want to say about the guitar that still sucks is the clicks, the strum bar is quiet and the knobs are nothing at all. They click loudly every time you press them. So better turn up the volume! After all, if you can get rid of the clicks, this guitar is fine. I don't have drums, so two USB ports on the PS3 is enough for my two guitars, but a full "band" might have the problem of needing a USB hub. The guitar's battery life is excellent and it's very responsive. I bought my guitar here for about $25 which is well below the list price of a new guitar so can't complain!
