I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

I took the basic version of MVVL2 Core i7 / RAM 16GB / SSD 512GB. I didn’t work closely with macOS before, so I’m writing a review as an avid “windowmaker”. I have used two generations of ZenBook for the last 7 years. The first UX32 device suited me completely, a trouble-free working machine, but it became obsolete and performance was no longer enough, I ated it to UX310. I thought that the line was tested and would last the same, but alas, in a year and a half I visited the warranty service 2 times with the same problem, handed it back to the store, and decided to take something more serious. I wanted a compact 13-inch one, but after reading the reviews I decided that I didn’t want to face the SC again, but only because of the infamous “butterflies”. I didn't want to wait for a 14-inch version with a normal keyboard either, you have to work on something. I am engaged in development and management. From constantly running applications: Docker, VS Code, SourceTree, 1C 8.3.5, Excel. Not to say that the migration was painless. Everything started and works fine, except for 1C (this is due to Catalina with its "only 64-bit"). There is no version of the 1C 8.3.5 client for macOS, Parallels - heavily loads the system and periodically hangs the program, Bootcamp - a perversion (hey, I actually bought a poppy), Wine - not supported, CrossOver - wildly buggy and slow. Can someone suggest an alternative way in the comments? There is little use for the touchbar, I mainly use only the sound volume control. Under load it gets hot and noisy. A little heavy, after ZenBook with its 1.4 kg. Autonomy suits, at the level of 5-6 hours. The rest of the laptop lived up to expectations, you can feel the level to which Windows laptops have not yet reached. Perhaps I will change to a 14-inch MacBook Pro in the future, because mobility is also important to me. I am convinced that the cost should be evaluated in terms of convenience, quality and service life, and not in numbers. The first 2 criteria justified themselves, now let's see how much it will last.

Pros
  • - Standard set of advantages: design, build quality, display, performance, nimble SSD - Spacious and high-quality sound, even surprisingly, plays better than my portable JBL - Separately, I want to highlight the touchpad, for me this is something new, I did not think that it could be so good that it is convenient to use without a mouse - Keyboard, nice key travel - Touch ID - USB Type-C charging connection from any side, convenient! - Precise setting of a comfortable display brightness depending on the lighting - Microphone, for the conference I think it will be the most
Cons
  • - Very easily soiled screen coating, nothing wipes off - Catalina - Touchbar is not always convenient - heating - Weight
