The included "template" that came with these caused me more issues than they are worth. The template for me in all cases was slightly bent due to the shelves it was shipped near, so they were never perfectly flat. Second, I found the spacing to be a bit off the 16" on center studs, which was a little baffling. My advice, if you've hung shelves before is to just do it manually, one bracket at a time, using a stud finder and your own level. They will probably come out more even.Second tip, if you are combining these with the 6 foot shelves by the same company, know that the bolt patterns on the brackets are different, for some reason. The brackets are otherwise identical. That cost me some rework as I discovered it after the fact.Otherwise, these are very good, and would recommend for the money.
