Review on ViewSonic TD2230 10 Point Touchscreen Monitor, DisplayPort 1920X1080P, 76Hz, LED - VIEWSONIC INC by Marco Browning

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Manuals lack touchscreen references

My only similarity (hence the 4 stars) is that nowhere in the documentation, either in the box or online (like ViewSonic's own user guide for this monitor) does it mention the touchscreen, which I find very odd. After plugging it in for the first time, all I did was plug in HDMI and power. No mention was made of having to plug in the USB cable. I only found this out myself after a few hours of troubleshooting when I realized that the touchscreen is essentially a large mouse on a monitor, hence the need for a USB cable (I also remembered HDMI data (for the Most data) one way Also, I've only had this monitor for a few days and it's been great that I'm currently using it as an external monitor with my Chromebook (this screen is also a touchscreen). The stand on the back suited my needs works well I checked the maximum angle (I think it's 70, it doesn't say so in the manual either) but I would probably only use it if I was standing while using it.

Pros
  • I have to say...really impressed. Excellent design and quality. I plan to order another one soon
Cons
  • The Revain's weight information is incorrect: the actual weight is 5.5 kg, not 5.4 lbs.
