Review on Bluetooth LED Strip Lights for TV - Hamlite 21Ft RGB Backlights, USB Powered, Music Sync, App + Remote Control - Compatible with 85-95 inch TVs by Mark Fleming

I thought it was a gimmick but it's awesome!

Even after looking at lots of pictures of customers using them, I thought it was something college students would put in their dorms, but ultimately it's a crappy concept. Then I bought one and I have to admit that it is really useful. I have an 86 inch LG LED TV and I probably have about 2ft left so the description was accurate. What made me actually buy it was the black levels. (or lack thereof) on my TV - the darkest blacks are still very gray. This is in a room that can get very dark and when TV scenes are meant to be black the TV's weakness is very apparent and pretty. My solution was to either turn on the overhead lights, which would result in a slight glow on the screen, or install these LEDs. use, but it is worth noting that they become very bright. Even when dimmed it helps make the horrible black levels on my TV much less noticeable as the wall behind the TV is no longer completely black. The LEDs aren't not as distracting as I thought they would be. I'd say it also helps with nighttime eye fatigue as light-to-dark transitions appear less harsh. Once you get past their initial novelty, they become really useful. For €42 I would absolutely recommend it. The only downside is that they need to be plugged into an outlet as the USB port can't power a strip of this length. Not a big deal, you just have to use the remote to turn it on and off and the remote works well enough.
