Review on 🎧 SENNHEISER MOMENTUM True Wireless Earbuds: Bluetooth Earbuds with Fingertip Touch Control by Andrew Aldana

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great sound/terrible for calling

I've had many pairs of wireless headphones from different manufacturers. Of course, for headphones, the Sennheiser Momentum headphones have a very high sound quality - perhaps the best I've heard. This makes sense given the cost. They're a bit bulky, but the sound quality makes it worth it to me. I'm not a big fan of silicone ear tips and have found that they get a bit uncomfortable after about an hour of wearing. Normally I would solve this problem with a pair of ComplyFoam tips, but the ComplyFoam tips that fit the Sennheiser Momentum are currently only available in small/medium sizes. Several Sennheiser owners have written online that the small/medium springs don't offer a snug fit, and that's disappointing for those (myself included) for whom a large ComplyFoam spring is the norm. If your priority is wireless headphones that are good for phone calls, these headphones are not for you. I tested the headphones for a couple of phone calls outside. The incoming caller voice volume is too low and my callers report hearing a lot of background noise and poor audio quality. One caveat - for indoor calls the quality was reasonable. Update 1/4/18: In my original post I said I found the silicone ear tips a little uncomfortable after about an hour of use. Now that I've gotten used to the headphones, I find them comfortable enough for up to two hours. I'm still amazed by the sound quality (and still find external calls mediocre). I agree with those who said that choosing the right earbud size is crucial for good bass. I use big tips and the seal is tight; Therefore, the bass is excellent. I found the Clear Hearing feature tricky for a couple of days - sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't (this feature lets you double-tap the right earbud to be more aware of external noise; this is especially useful if you want to do this briefly with talk to someone -something, for example go to the store and don't want to take off the headphones). It is possible that the right earbud is defective and if this is found to be the case I will attempt to replace the earbuds. Bottom line, the fantastic sound quality of these headphones beats any other concerns I might have. They remain the best wireless earbuds I've ever owned.
