Forehead Reader Non-Contact

I suspect none of these consumer thermometers have a non-contact forehead scanner, but for some reason I'm under the impression there is one. It turns out that the "contactless" reader is only suitable for the surface temperature of objects, not people. However, the surface temperature came in handy when I wanted to read the temperature of a USB drive that was too hot to touch. This was outside of the manufacturer's recommended normal range, so that was good to know. However, I wanted to be able to take the temperature of my daughter's sweaty forehead at night, so that doesn't help. :) I can't tell how accurate that is yet. The instructions are not as easy to remember and could be written better (you have to remember things from the previous section. I can't just jump to the surface temp section and expect to read this to take the surface temp). because I had to learn something from the first section). I'll probably get used to it.

Pros
  • Solid Surface
Cons
  • Damaged
