The silicone case attracts dust, lint, hair, etc. To stop the attraction, wipe it and the knife's silicone handle with white vinegar, anti-static wipes, or some fabric softener. This is a brilliant product! Bought for an Omiebox for PreK toddlers, all utensils measure just under 6.5 inches, body probably exactly 6.5. I have searched long and hard for a quality, practical and affordable dinnerware set that is the perfect size for a 4 year old. Most of the spoons are too small, the tines of the fork are too blunt, there is no case in the sets, or the case is too bulky or fragile, or it is inconvenient to use and clean, or part or the whole set is simply lost among many other children. 'Dishes at school and never seen again. When I saw this I thought it was awesome! Magnetic utensils with a small light shell that neatly collects groceries and doesn't overload the child or any adult on the go was the perfect solution. And it's super cheap, I've seen the same prices and higher for mediocre options. I pray it doesn't get lost right away, I'll buy a few more for myself anyway, backups and gifts for others.
