We got a new house last summer. The reason we buy a dehumidifier is because our basement is so humid and smelly. try our first floor before we go downstairs. I was surprised and couldn't believe how humid we are in the house and how much water leaked out during the day. Every time we release the water, we feel a sense of accomplishment. Definitely get fresher air and see the difference than before. I'm thinking of buying a smaller one for our main floor. so we can have it in our basement.
