Not sure why they short circuit...?

I have ordered two very large closures and am ordering at least one more. The extra large works great, I see where people have complained that the shorter one is too short. It hangs on the doorknob very conveniently when not in use and quickly slides into the door latch hole to lock securely. the dogs lean against it, he pulls the screws out of the hollow doors. The oblong one holds the door open, as does the deadbolt I installed (and am about to remove). I only wish I had found them before I damaged two doors in our home to give the cats some dog free areas.
