I'm not new to the hobby but didn't want to go back to a 25+ gallon tank. Maintenance is sometimes too painful. I built my house before I bought all in one tank. Welcome to the Biorb Step by Step YouTube channel. Wonderful channel helping me close the deal for me. I've now made a slight modification to add an extra filter and air stone, but I love it. Low maintenance costs, but that doesn't just apply to this aquarium. Understanding how to manage your water for proper pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels goes a long way in keeping your fish happy and alive. As for the plants, I chose to use mostly artificial plants because I didn't want to mess around with adding substrate. Adding two living ferns and some floating plants. The ferns are attached to the coconut shells so I don't have to worry about planting them. Overall, this is a great aquarium for the beginner or more experienced hobbyist who wants to spend more time enjoying the aquarium and less time cleaning up the mess.
