Inconvenient item for medical supplies and equipment

I had to purchase one of these devices due to back surgery which resulted in what is known as "flat foot" in my right leg/foot. The price was reasonable compared to the specialist I went to ($700). The calf strap on mine snapped in half on the first attempt to use it. I also found the device very uncomfortable in the heel area, no matter what I tried it would slide or dig in, causing a great deal of pain in a very short period of time. Eventually abandoned and parked back in the crate as another waste of money.

Pros

STABILITY AND FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT REQUIRED: Durable, lightweight thermoplastic material provides comfortable lateral stability at the ankle and foot while allowing for basic foot movement. SLIM DESIGN: The slim leaf spring design with a low arch and open heel allows the orthosis to be worn under most shoes.
