Review on Platin Monaco 5.1+ Axiim Link Wireless Home Theater System for WiSA Ready LG and Hisense TVs by Aaron Collins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Convenience above all

In this review I will focus on the following 4 areas: - WISA / Axiim Link - Axiim Link App - LG OLED TV (Compatibility) - Platinum Monaco 5.1WISA / AXIIM LINK I am impressed. I have never experienced such smooth wireless technology. It's basically plug and play with the LG OLED C9 and the app is just a bonus if you want to fine-tune the sound that most people don't want or need. There are no lag/lip sync issues regardless of the source including TV, streaming apps (Netflix, YouTube etc.), external media players, 4K UHD, Blu-ray and media files regardless of type and size (from 2GB up to 60 GB). The transmitter also has a built-in IR receiver, so you can use the universal remote control if you wish. Dolby Atmos has been announced to be coming to WISA this year and since it doesn't have latency issues I see it becoming the new audio standard in the TV industry along with Earc. AXIIM LINK (APP). The application is very simple in its interface and you can choose between preset equalizers or customize your own. You can also adjust the equalizer of each speaker as well as the volume of each speaker. You don't need a volume control app on an LG OLED TV, but you do need one if you're using an Xbox One. I didn't get the app to find the station on my Android phone but it found it on my iPad right away and downloaded the latest station software update. Before this launch, the TV found all the speakers and they all worked, but they didn't. Play 5.1 on every port, drive, file and application I've tried using. After the update, everything I tested could be played. The LG OLED TV works fine when it's on and running, but when I turn on the TV it switches to the WISA speakers after a few seconds. Just as it can be with a soundbar on any television. Every now and then he says he can't find the speakers When I turn on the TV the message disappears after a second and they are connected and working. In this case, there may also be a clicking sound for a few seconds. I can't tell if it is LG software, WISA or Axiim transmitter/software causing it. I think that's because it's fairly new technology and few updates have been made since launch. This is by no means a big deal and hasn't made me reconsider my purchase or my opinion on the setup. Same delay when turning on a TV with a Sonos Beam soundbar on one of my other TVs. PLATINUM MONACO 5. 1 The speakers look like classic bookshelf speakers and are very well made. They are aesthetic. But I would like them to have traditional detachable speaker grilles, either as a package or as an option to purchase. The subwoofer is the only speaker with physical volume controls. For all other speakers you need an app if you want to change their levels individually. The sound itself is very good. I tested some of the old 5.1s in Dolby Atmos and they all sound great. The dialogues are always clear and the sound is very balanced. I put my subwoofer on the carpet under one of my couches to avoid disturbing the neighbors. In her own YouTube commercial, it is placed under an IKEA TV stand in Stockholm. I have this TV stand and the subwoofer is maybe 1/3 inch (0.5-1cm) higher than it actually fits under. It's so much better than any soundbar I've had. including Sonos Beam as well as traditional surround sound speakers. SUMMARY Simplicity of technology, no latency, dedicated center channel, no need to use a receiver and no need to run speaker wire everywhere, low price and the need to use only one remote control, I recommend WISA, Axiim Link and Platinum. Monaco 5.1 for anyone with a compatible TV or X Box One. This is new technology and companies like Sonos have a much better user interface and more features in their apps, and a traditional receiver + speaker setup will likely give you a richer or more complete listening experience. But in an average home for the average user, if you combine ease of use with great sound, this is the best solution.
