Not suitable for household items

I purchased this item hoping it would eliminate the kitchen bin smell. I placed the container in container.nothing. Please do not buy this product, it is ineffective. I can't rate the longevity, because I didn't feel anything even when I touched my nose on the product. Yes, I removed the lid before throwing it in the kitchen bin. I suppose someone might say you probably didn't unscrew the top cap. OK, I have. NOTHING.
