Great skin marker!

I make wallets and the faux leather surface is very difficult to mark. I bought this marker for this purpose. Tried on on white faux leather. that works great. I was able to take a damp rag and wipe away the stains and they left no mark. I'm glad I found this marker!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No paint required

The tool I dreamed of from the start!

This makes it easy to create my patterns online, create guides and marks on the top fiber. Regardless of skin color, metallic silver pops out easily. If you need to wipe it off, I use a cotton t-shirt lightly dampened with clean water and it comes off instantly with a rub.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Problem with MyTandy Leather Marker 2097-00

I purchased this item on 3rd December 2018 and it has worked fine for a while with moderate use BUT the screw tip broke a few months ago. outwards (it's plastic) and doesn't close to hold the bar and that's not how the handle works. Now I'm stuck with a few refills and don't have a 'button' to use them.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Update available

Spots on Dark Leather

Remains on dark leather, chrome and oil tanning. Traces can also be deleted, it does its job perfectly. If you need to mark dark leather or chrome tanning, this is the tool for you. Maybe there are others that would work as well. They're probably just as good. Just make sure they are labeled for this purpose, regular white artist pencils/markers will not work.

Pros
  • Easy Setting
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

Works well but there are other less expensive options

Leatherworkers use these pens to mark some types of leather and faux leather. The silver color rubs off the material easily when you don't need the markers. Tandy's product is good, but if you use it often, you'll need another one soon. In the future I plan to buy a bunch of these "silver" markers in bulk and save some money in the process.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic

I've heard a lot of good things about the leather marker. I make bags with cork fabric (vegan leather) and couldn't find a handle that didn't haze (white lines) when I marked the placement lines. then I buy Tandy Leather Pens and Wallah. no halos on my cork fabric. A must-have for making leather, vinyl or cork bags!

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Doesn't erase. about crafting

I work for a company that makes luxury leather bags. Bought this on a whim. Doesn't work as advertised. Leaves a mark on the skin, even for short marks, no matter how soft you make the mark. Not everything is removed, something is visible no matter what skin I try. Smooth black leather, sheepskin, suede - everything remains after use. This pen is also half the price of other sites. Wouldn't recommend it. I would return it if the shipping cost didn't exceed the refund. upset.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
