Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Your Comfort and Convenience with Westinghouse Lighting 7787400 Thermostat Ceiling Fan and Light Remote Control for Fans, White by Maurice Strawther

Ok, but there is room for improvement.

Works fine but if the manufacturer stops I would suggest 2 firmware updates that will make it much easier to use: 1. Great that I can use the original ceiling light wall switch to turn on/off the fan / the light and the remote The remote remembers my previous light dimming and fan speed settings, but when I walk into a dark room and turn on the light, I usually need the light right away so I can see. Just as the remote works now, if the light was previously dimmed or turned off with the remote, turning on the wall switch can leave you in a darkened room looking for the remote on a side table or on the floor by your bed. . The proposed firmware improvement, fast on/off/on wall switch should be interpreted as a request to turn on the light at full brightness, turn off the fan. so i can see! 2. The light dimming function on the remote control is very tiring to use. You press and hold a button to change the brightness, but it only knows one way to fine-tune it, and only at one speed. If you want to make the light brighter and hold down the button to dim the light, the brightness will continue to change in the same direction you previously set it. So if you last dimmed the light from say 90% to 70% yesterday, then pressing and holding the button today will continue to dim the light, down to the minimum brightness level, before finally starting to slowly decrease the brightness of the light increase to the desired higher level. The reverse is also true, you may need to ramp up to maximum brightness before you can dim the light slightly below the starting point. Very embarrassing and just plain stupid. Aside from redesigning the remote with separate up and down buttons for brightness, I'd suggest updating the firmware to interpret a quick remote on/off/on as an instantaneous change in minimum brightness, and instantaneous when repeated to interpret change to maximum. Brightness. I think this is already the best remote on the market, but these two issues make me scratch my head every day!
