Extreme pilling on accessories

I've only worn the scarf 5 times and it rolls up so much my arms are full of black wool. It feels like I've worn it all winter. I have worn cashmere scarves for many years and have never worn them so badly. I prefer to wear a scarf I bought from a street vendor in New York.
