They work very well for hanging my projector screen. I have a 120-inch screen that weighs about 30 pounds, if I had to guess, and is set far enough from the wall that it doesn't hit ledges or wall-hanging decorations. However, I do recommend that you buy some metal toggle screws instead of regular drywall screws, as the angle of these brackets results in an outward force, not down, and typical drywall anchors aren't designed for this. At first I used regular drywall screws and the top pulled out the walls about 1/2 inch, which made me a little nervous. When I had the shift studs there, it was a lot safer.
