I bought this in a desperate attempt to protect my lips from smelly and bad odours. No matter what sponge and sink policy was tried, the result was the same. To complicate matters, my husband's habit of using sardines and canned oysters involves rinsing the jar before throwing it in the trash, but not picking up the sponge first or rinsing the sink afterwards. This at least spares the sponges the additional stench. I measured the width of the sink strainer before ordering and can only recommend this. It fits perfectly between my sinks. I especially like this one because it takes up almost no space in the sink like most sinks and allows my sponges to dry rather than becoming a germ/stink incubator at the bottom of my sink.
