I have a new computer (bought in 2020) and the first thing that struck me was the lack of USB 2.0 ports. There are three ports for USB Type-C but not for other USB types. Since my printer and a few other devices only work with an old USB port, it was best to buy a few of these and plug them into whatever electronics I use that require it so I don't have to run the whole computer. I look for these adapters at home every time I need to use the printer. So far it has worked great and I haven't had any problems. I highly recommend buying something like this instead of paying 5x more for the same thing.
