I purchased this item but never received it. I had to go and buy from a local store. But this is another story. I have to say this camera is a great DSLR to meet people who want to get into photography but don't have that much or no photography experience and don't want to take out a second mortgage to buy a new camera. Sure, there are bigger and better cameras out there, but this one has pretty much everything a beginner could need. I would suggest spending the extra money on better optics in front of a bigger camera. A good lens is a good investment as you can use it with a new camera if you decide to upgrade to a larger camera (like the D300 or D700).
