It does not work! - Anti-theft

I put them aside after receiving them and took the time to program them on the machine. We're planning a long trip now, so we decided to take the new key fobs to a Corvette dealer's service center. so they can program them into the machine. Would like a spare key. It turns out they won't program my car, which is a 1998 C5 Corvette. Now I see that the return window is closed. Not very happy.
