Overall: No complaints about this table. It's about the same as, or slightly better than, the above-average IKEA offering: chipboard with veneer on top, but it doesn't look cheap and flaky, nor does it smell of glue. Building this was an easy task for my husband and I, and I was 5 months pregnant at the time (not hard work for me, but it didn't affect the build process negatively). The only time we had trouble adjusting the glass door hinges properly so the door closed smoothly. I think we overcomplicated this ourselves because we disassembled the loop before trying it in the default hardest position, which turned out to be correct in the end. The nails also have screw heads when fastening a veneered substrate. I think it's because it looks more finished, but it got really confusing when we couldn't screw them on. Of course, the instructions show the use of a hammer, but when you pick up a small-threaded fastener with a screw head, it's natural to assume it's a screw and not a nail. Each piece in this set is clearly marked. All equipment and furnishings were labeled and presented in the correct quantity. All labels come off easily when some of them eventually become visible. The instructions are very clear and well written. The only time we got confused with the instructions was when we were assembling the drawers and didn't need to attach the slides to the drawer mechanism already inside the cabinet (they had to be attached to the drawers and then slid back). ). No wow what a deal! We realized our mistake and corrected it within two minutes. If you've ever assembled IKEA furniture, it's like a walk in the park by comparison. Any reasonable adult or teenager should be able to assemble this piece without difficulty, although it's definitely a two-person job at times. Tools Needed: We used a cordless drill with a clutch to keep our speed low, but a screwdriver would work just fine. Ordinary hammer with claws. Optional: rubber mallet for attaching the supplied plastic floor pads. Optional: wood glue for fixing wooden pegs. I think it was about 4 hours of work at a leisurely pace. We unpacked both boxes, grouped them in our hallway for easy access, spread out packets of screws/dowels/etc. in different sizes in order of number and then put a beach towel on top so as not to scratch our hardwood floors or our new table. Packing Note: This product is shipped in two (heavy) boxes. The boxes are stapled and glued and then lined with Styrofoam on the inside. Small boxes (often filled with gear bags) or pieces of styrofoam are used to keep parts from shifting. I was impressed at how well it was packaged! However, at some point during delivery, one of our boxes fell off and was delivered seemingly 'inflated'. Fortunately, nothing was missing or damaged, and this is not a Revain issue. But I think it's worth mentioning both the positives and the negatives: these boxes can take a beating, but make sure you count your parts and check for damage if you receive a damaged box. Bottom Line: My husband has his two 23 inch monitors along with his two speakers, keyboard and mouse on an armrest of the table; his computer in the corner (he has a LAN computer in the milk crate of a standard CPU closet, so we put the shielding plate, wireless router, and modem in the closet); and a printer on the same line with drawers on the other side of the table. It's narrower than we'd hoped, but it's comfortable, and the drawer armrest has room for a laptop, a snack, or just some freedom of movement. We haven't had any scratches or damage in the past few weeks. I use. Will update when something bad happens. :)
