Basically it is a carabiner with a built-in hook and swivel. A handy item that doesn't require additional accessories such as ropes, poles and/or another daisy chain carabiner, all bundled in one package. It carries the standard SWL (safe working load) like other carabiners, which is around 40 pounds, so it's not really a mountaineering clamp. I wish it had more given the price tag. The swivel feature is also great as it allows you to move around objects without unmounting the product itself. Get a standard carabiner for about a dollar. But if you plan to take advantage of the extra features and can incorporate them into your daily routine, then it might be worth it as it saves time (a few seconds here and there, but adds up).
