Package arrived in perfect condition, wrapped in bubble wrap for security. Waterpik is lightweight and feels comfortable in the hand. The package also includes a small booklet with simple instructions and illustrations that are pretty easy to understand. There is also a 1 page note with installation instructions and some diagrams in case you don't want to take the time to read the whole booklet before using it. The package contains the first set of 3 AAA batteries, which must be inserted as indicated on the bottom of the irrigator. It's easy to unlock the battery holder, insert batteries and lock it again. Then there are 2 spikes in a separate plastic sheet and I took the thinner one to put on top. You twist it until you hear a click and it locks into place. After that, pull out the water tank (the transparent part of the irrigator), open the spout and pour warm water into it. This is a small tank so make sure you fill it up well and that it doesn't spill out the other side. After that, you need to put it back into the irrigator and snap it into place. After that you can turn the switch and check the water pressure. There are 2 settings for this and it's best to start with a low setting, also keep it in your mouth when you turn on the switch or water will splash all over the tub. I like to use it in the shower. It's wireless and very easy to use. Also, the water tank consumes water within 1 minute, so you need to quickly floss or refill the tank. When I first used it, I had to fill the water tank twice to floss effectively, but I had a clean feeling after successfully flossing. 😁 It may take a few weeks to get used to, but I think it will definitely change the old flossing routine that was cumbersome and very messy.
