First of all I should have read "Doglovers” review as you definitely need little clear rubber feet to level this shelf….even then it’s not entirely level. When they state it’s best two people install, that’s because it is extremely difficult to have to holes line up EXACTLY as needed to slip the shelf on the back plate. I live alone and placed this shelf 8’ off the floor above a mantle so it was almost impossible until I loosened the back plate from the wall that allowed me to move it a bit to maneuver into the holes. I should also add that I had to take a 16” container turn it upside down and add magazines until I got the shelf to rest on it in line with the holes. I’ve renovated homes, which wasn’t as arduous as this, and have a right angle phillips head screwdriver so was able to tighten the back plate only to have it slope forward as mentioned in previous review by "dog lover”. I’d take it off and throw away if it weren’t for the holes that would need to be patched.
