When I opened the packaging for the first time I was a bit disappointed. The jacket itself looked a bit thinner than I expected and no pockets were used. I decided to wash it thinking it might be a little fluffy and fixed up the missing pockets because if you know how to sew it's pretty easy to fix. When I took it out of the wash, the pocket lining (which I didn't even think about) was folded into the coat. I went through all the reviews and saw that many other people were upset about the lack of bags. So when I realized there was material there, I realized that there really were pockets. They just had to be embroidered. So I grabbed my tiny nail scissors and started trimming the seams. Of course the bags were hidden. I don't know why they did it and why they didn't tell us about it, but there are indeed pockets. I can say it's handmade because there are no tags or anything on the coat. However, it is well made and I am happy with my purchase. I gave it 4 stars due to the lack of communication about the bag situation.
