Fantastic dimming! Branches (dark) look too fancy up close, but they look normal from across the room. Was initially disappointed when I turned them on that they wouldn't restart for 24 hours but to my surprise they are! (this function is not mentioned in the manual) It is very pleasant to come home in the evening and they are lit. I'd give these 5 starts if the dark spots didn't look like spray paint smudges - and one straight out of the box doesn't save the battery compartment - I'd return them if the 234 automatic timer wasn't a feature. Another pleasant property was a pleasantly light vanilla smell.
