Review on 🚽 American Standard Aqua Wash Non-Electric Bidet Seat for Elongated Toilets, White - 5900A05G.020, 14.9" W x 3.6" H x 21.1" D by Julius Robinson

I liked the bidet seat but it came with the wrong hardware!

This American Standard AquaWash SpaLet bidet was stolen for only $48! It's non-electric, so it works mechanically, simply using water pressure. There are two attachments that automatically retract into the seat back when not in use. One has higher pressure, the other is softer. The control is a small, unobtrusive lever built into the right side of the seat. Push forward for higher pressure (increase/decrease depending on how hard you squeeze the trigger), back 90 degrees to turn it off, or push back to spray at lower pressure (increase/decrease depending on how hard you how hard you press the lever). Lever). The jet angle is very different from our old bidet faucet which was mounted under a traditional toilet seat, so it took some experimentation to find the best seating position. The spray rate isn't as high as our old nozzle, but I prefer that the old nozzle had such a powerful jet of water that it was easy to cause damage if you turned it more than 1/4 the power. Ouch! This Aqua Wash bidet is much more comfortable to use. The installation process was easy and didn't quite match the installation video posted on the product page. Note that this bidet fits a standard oval/oblong toilet, not a round one! A paper chart is included in the installation kit so you can visually check the fit of the bidet before beginning the installation. To install the included rubber grommets I had to wet them first and then jiggle and screw them in from the bottom of the hole instead of the top as shown in the video. It was the only way they could get through the holes in my Gerber toilet. The mounting plate is very easy to install and easily adjustable if necessary. The kit includes mounting screws which presumably can be tightened using the supplied metal threaded plastic washers which attach to the underside of the toilet. This will prevent the seat from slipping during use. The seat slides back onto the mounting plate very easily and "clicks" when secured. To remove the seat there is a small square on the side opposite the control lever which when pushed releases the seat and can be removed from the panel. An AY connector is included so you can split the flow of water filling the tank. Screw the line onto the cistern and the supplied line onto the bidet and you're in business. Be sure to refer to the supplied manual to ensure you install the leads into the correct Y-connector hole. Here's the only flaw I found with this product: the mounting screws provided are not long enough to attach the seat! Each screw goes through the toilet and through the rubber bushing. Then tighten the screw with a plastic washer. Easy. Unless the bolt is shorter than the rubber bushing! I thought I could trim the rubber to make it work, but there are metal threads in the rubber. I went to Lowe's a few times to look for the right screw, but it turned out that the threads on the bushings are different than the standard threads on all the screws I buy at the hardware store. There is no description in the instructions for the bidet so I don't know what those stupid screws are. I'm at a dead end. I can't find a screw that works with these bushings! I tried to contact the manufacturer but got no response. I cannot contact the seller as there is no way here at Revain. The seat works well but slips every time you use it. It makes it worse. Had the correct screws been included this would have been a five star rating.
