Bought when I bought a new car mount phone. The metal plate that came with my car mount was glued to my old phone so I bought these to use with my new phone and they work great! I also gave one to my husband when he later replaced his phone case (he stuck his metal plate onto the case instead of the phone) and it works really well too! We didn't glue them to it (learned from our mistakes), we just wedged it between the phone and the case (using the white label over the glue as a buffer between the phone and the metal plate so it doesn't scratch them). So far they have worked very well! and i love the difference in the sizes that come with it, make it easy to find one that fits my phone or other things i want to keep in there.
