I love these shoes! The Flyte foam is really good and the rubber outsole lasts great for 100 miles! Fit was great for me. The lacing is good too; no heel slip and no weird chafing. The outsole has unrealistic cushioning and rebound properties. I love these running shoes for short to medium distances. Hell, I even use them for long distance runs. I also occasionally use them for some tempo runs. I don't use them on many fast pace days or for speed work. They have great suspension and the weight of the shoe is ok in my opinion so that's not a reason for me. The reason I don't use them for quick work is because they are soft under such loads. For me, a lot of ankle stability is lost at speed in this shoe. In my experience, nothing beats the Nimbus in the same environment. If you're new to running or having landing stability issues, either look into the Nimbus or keep going until you're ready. I'm not the type to talk people out of a product I highly recommend, but these shoes can sometimes feel like walking on a bed or sofa (I'm about 160 pounds). However, I love it. With the cushion there's a ton of spring and I'm attacking the forefoot. The cushioning doesn't feel dead by any means. That's actually my favorite part, but I can see that if the person doesn't have a lot of stability in goal, he could provoke an injury. Especially with a stack height of 10 mm. Nova Blast is a toolbox tool. If you need a tool, great. If the tool is applicable, great. If it's not the right tool, do yourself a favor and keep moving. In this range of neutral cushioning shoes I also use Nimbus, Cumulus and GEL-Quantum Infinity. Everything is great with different feelings and goals. Enjoy your run! Nova Blast is a great shoe.
