Review on BumGenius Freetime One Size Closure Moonbeam by Susan Zhao

Revainrating 5 out of 5

We love, love, love these diapers!

I bought fuzzibunz, bumGenius 4.0 (with removable pad), Bummis and Swaddlebees cloth diapers to figure out which ones to use. I didn't even know BumGenius Freetime existed and accidentally bought it from Revain thinking I'd get the 4.0 version with the removable insert. When they arrived the velcro version had a removable insert, but the snap-on version was one I didn't even know existed. What luck! We LOVE these diapers. Only Bummi's diapers and this FreeTime diaper prevented leaks or tears. With all other types, we have constant problems, probably because they are more difficult to fit in size. I don't like the thing with the removable insert, it's just uncomfortable. I love the 2 attached panels on these diapers. I definitely prefer velcro. The Velcro is noisy and a little uncomfortable, and there is a soft part of the Velcro that sometimes touches the baby's skin, and although it is soft, it still does not feel comfortable. We also need to make sure to fold the velcro every time before washing it. BumGenius doesn't have the best design or color in my opinion, others have such cute designs! But it wasn't a priority. At the end of the day we bought Freetime zip-up diapers. Now that we run out of clothes between washes and end up using the others we bought, we put them on because we know we'll have to change them soon because they're bound to leak or burst. Annoying. (Same goes for disposable nappies...after using those cloth nappies we can't stand disposable nappies anymore. They have a papery feel and can't be as comfortable as those nice soft cloth nappies, plus we still have issues with leaks). Use Charlie's soap and those diapers seem fine. And the Aveeno diaper cream does a great job too. Very happy with this purchase.
