It only fits around the rear of the trailer and is the perfect amount to fit through the front hitch. Remember when ordering a cover you must specify the length from the back of the trailer to the hitch. My trailer box is only 23 feet long but counts as 27 feet because of the 4 foot hitch. My trailer is 13 feet tall and this cover fits right over the tires. The material isn't very thick but weighs around 30 pounds. The top has a few more layers of material.
