I've read many reviews about being given the wrong size (ordered 64GB and got 32GB etc.), received an item saying "educational/college device" or the device somehow repaired Device was not in optimal condition and the buyer returned the product. NOTHING could be further from my experience. I wanted an iPad device that could run the ForeFlight and Stratus Horizon Pro apps to work with my new ADS-B/In Stratus 3i device. These apps are limited to iOS devices. I found this refurbished/updated iPad and thought it would fit. In fact, he surpasses them. Initially, I only received a 64 GB device. However, I noticed that the 128GB Gold device was only 10% more expensive, so I went with that variant. I can't get enough of this purchase. First of all, the device is absolutely zero. And I looked closely with a magnifying glass. Zero scratches and defects. Although it came in a plain brown box with charger and cable, that's fine as I hate OEM packaging anyway. I ordered a plain suitcase which arrived the next day and was gone. Setup was quick and painless, and the new iPad mini copied everything from my iPad-2 (which still works almost a decade later). The Mini works with everything I throw at it, has great battery life, and makes flying MUCH safer thanks to the ForeFlight and Stratus apps. In general I am completely satisfied with the purchase. I don't know why others have had less than optimal experiences. For me, buying a 4th gen 128GB mini for a fraction of the price was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.
