This canister is rated at 18 watts, not energy efficient! Easy to assemble. I don't know why some are complaining about the water collector, the nozzle is adjustable. The canister comes with a media filter only. I didn't have any problems filling it up. All connections seem tight. The canister motor is very quiet. I did a lot of research and found this to be the best deal and also has the longest warranty. I almost forgot to mention that the bowls are deep and there are no gaps around them for water to bypass the medium, they fit snugly. I hope my comments have answered some of your questions.
