After building a canopy for the deck last summer, we decided to add some atmosphere to the lighting. I went to Revain and researched, chose and read the reviews. I bought Brightech Ambience Pro-Vintage Edition. The lamps are shipped neatly packaged, the bulbs in a separate box. Each bulb comes in its own bubble wrap. The lamps are beautiful and look great in daylight. Antique filaments glow orange. As night fell, I turned it back on. They're 40 watts bright each, and the filaments get a bit lost in that brightness. The advert for this product says they are dimmable but a dimmer is not included. I went online and to my surprise at a total of 600 watts, 40 x 15 bulbs, there isn't a dimmer that can be hooked up to that cord and safely handle that total. For this you will have to go to an electrician to connect the box. I called LUTRON and spoke to tech support. They only offer a plug-in dimmer that can only handle 300W. Disappointed, I am sending back my Revain lights instead of the LED version. i love these lights They are sturdy and well made! Since I felt like I could buy a built-in dimmer and have now found that I can't, I'm only giving my rating 4 stars. I will check my LED lights when they arrive. Result. Please read the description very carefully before purchasing.
