Reading some of the other reviews I had some reservations about buying this but when estimating the price versus an out of warranty repair or buying a new joycon, that was it risk low. I've swapped analog sticks in joycons before, so this approach suits me. The only external difference between this product and the OEM I removed is that the Nintendo cable is blue. It installs in exactly the same way, with the same cable slack and connector density to match. There is a slight difference in resistance when moving the stick, but this decreases over time. I connected and installed everything, with all expectations, that I would have to rip it out and try another stick based on the feedback others have left here. To my delight, the first one I installed showed a constant zero point and full freedom of movement. I did a new calibration just to be sure and it works great. I played Mario Kart for a few hours before going to bed and so far I'm satisfied. I'll update this review if anything happens or if I find any problems, but for now I'm happy with the purchase.
