Item was dispatched quickly, was well packaged and at a fair price if not a great deal. It wasn't that difficult to install, but it didn't solve the problem it was supposed to solve. Apparently, dust is collecting on the mechanism that opens and closes the air damper inside the heater housing, causing it to bind. This lever and gear arrangement should increase the mechanical advantage when working with the dashboard temperature control knob. It can be done, but not enough to make it work properly. Mitsubishi says that if this article doesn't fix the problem (and I understand it might help some), the next step is to remove the entire dash and heater block, take the heater block apart, and in addition replace the air mixer door for the Optimizing the HVAC unit for the installation of dust filters in the cabin. It is estimated that this will be an 11 hour job if performed by a trained Mitsubishi technician. I had no intention of doing this. I screwed a 6" metal handle onto this mechanism so I can open and close the faucet door. Yes, I have to reach under the dashboard for that, but it works. Nice try Mitsubishi, but an epic failure. If you have a sticky, hard-to-turn temperature dial, this item is worth the price and hassle of installation, but understand that this is NOT a guaranteed solution.
