I always (no, actually ALWAYS) have cold hands (and feet too, by the way, but that's beyond the scope of this review). I have Rossignol heated gloves that I use for skiing, but if I ever have to remove my gloves to use my phone, my hands get too cold for the glove's soft warmth to thaw my fingers again. Also, I don't like wearing big ski gloves when I walk my dog every day or work outside putting up Christmas lights etc, so I wanted an everyday glove for that purpose. You are almost perfect! One caveat is that in freezing temperatures these gloves are only there to keep out the cold and will NOT keep your hands warm (at least not if your hands are like mine). However, I didn't expect them to be very warm. It's just that some reviewers seem to claim they're wonderfully warm, when in fact they're not. I live in the mountains of Salt Lake City so it's pretty cold here in the winter and I've actually experienced them in the last few weeks with temperatures ranging from 18 to 45 degrees. They definitely work best as liners for gloves. for skiing, but they're also great everyday gloves as long as it's not below freezing outside or you're not out too long without being able to keep your gloved hands in your jacket pockets. I light my Christmas lights with it, take my kid to school in the morning, walk my dog in the evening and drive to work (which is about 3/4 mile away as I work at university). So far I love them! As "casual" gloves, I'd like them to be made from a slightly thicker material, but they're intended to be used as glove liners, and glove liners need to be thin, so they're pretty much perfect for their intended purpose. I also have to say that I first tried the North Face equivalents of these glove liners and they were TERRIBLE! They are much more comfortable and fit much better! The next big thing in terms of convenience and comfort is the touchscreen capability and it's really awesome and super responsive! I even created a new fingerprint in these gloves on my iPhone 8 so I can open the Touch ID phone while wearing gloves. It's hit and miss. This only works occasionally, but it doesn't bother me and I can try re-fingerprinting again to see if I get a better match. I love that it's even an option! I also like the little palm dots. They really help me not to drop my phone when taking it out of my pocket with these gloves on. This is especially important when I'm doing it at the lift, when I'm usually in the mountains checking my phone to answer messages. I will say the little clip that holds the gloves together when not in use is impractically large for the glove liner and I took that off and threw it away. I definitely recommend these gloves! I think they are great for the price and you will be hard pressed to find anything better in this category of glove liners! And yes, I paid full price for it.
