It's too early to tell if it's helping, but I can judge the taste and texture. I bought unscented to add my own flavor. I hate stevia and most powders use it as a sweetener - it's way too sweet. I add some PB powder, vanilla powder and dark chocolate powder and it works very well. I also made PB powder, blueberries, strawberries and some cinnamon. Just don't expect it to be sweet like flavored versions without sugar or stevia. If you don't have false expectations, you're sure to find a few low-calorie options to add. Cocktails seem to be the best solution next to baking.
