Actually, you can set it up in several ways! Line it all up or split the pieces into hot studs or arrange them however you like! It was great for me. a great way to pick up power tools off the floor. Comes with everything you need to hang, hooks snap into place. Use as much or less as you like and choose where to go. The only complaint is that the small metal hooks aren't attached very well, so they're ok with something heavy hanging from them, but they're easy to pull out when you take your item down.
