I've read in reviews that the screw holes don't line up with the legs and I haven't had this problem. I used a drill to install the screws as all my screwdrivers are too long to get a good angle for these small screws. There were no scuffs or tears in the bamboo on the shelves themselves. They are in perfect condition and fit exactly what I needed them for - storing vitamins and supplements on the kitchen counter to free up space and look a little tidy.
